Welcome to Sacred Heart! I am pleased that you have “surfed” by and found our website. I became pastor of Sacred Heart in January of 2003 and I’d like to share with you some of the things I have discovered about Sacred Heart since that time.

          Sacred Heart Parish was founded in 1953 with Fr. Robert Walpole serving as our first pastor. For over 50 years, Sacred Heart has tried to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ within the Catholic Tradition.

          We are a parish of just over 600 families and 1800 members. We are a mix of young and old; black, brown and white; we are white collar and blue collar; we are wealthy and we are poor; in short, we are people just like you. We are travelers on a journey that leads us back to our God.

          Sacred Heart is a prayerful community. We are dedicated to asking ourselves continually, “What is God calling us to do in our lives and in the life of this parish right now?” We certainly invite you to worship with us any Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

          Sacred Heart parish boasts a wonderful elementary school offer academic excellence and faith formation for grades Pre-School to Grade 8. We have a tremendous Faith Formation Program for everyone from the young to the…”not so young.” I have come to find Sacred Heart a very welcoming community. If you can join us, I know you would agree.

          Our Church at Sacred Heart was dedicated in December of 2001. It is a testimony to the good people of this parish.
